From August 18 to August 19, 2007 the Continental Baseball League held its inaugural championship series at Robinson Stadium in Texas City, Texas. Three teams competed for the league's first CBL title:  

• The Texas Heat and Bay Area Toros (host team) played a game to determine which team would go onto face the Tarrant County Blue Thunder in the next game. The Toros won that game. 
• The Tarrant County Blue Thunder defeated the Toros by a final score of 6-3 to win the CBL championship

Ron Baron, league president and co-founder, is seen before the series started with the players who had earned various titles during the league's first regular season including batting champion and others.
