A trip full of drama and life lessons for a 19 year old me.

This was the fourth house I worked on in Japan, but in many ways it was my favorite trip. I had acclimated to the culture, could speak rudimentary Japanese, my carpentry skills were passible, and I made friends - plus I got to catch up with an exchange student from my high school.

We were building a massive house by Japanese standards for the owners of Phoenix Auto - a 4 wheel drive shop in Seki City, Japan.

Unlike, my first trips where the building was all consuming - we took Sundays off and experienced the culture more. We went to events, played baseball, and even hit the slopes to go snowboarding.
