We met and had a great meeting + had food similar to what you see in this photo. It is always fun helping a new - or even an existing - restaurant get more exposure locally because this is the phase where the creative side comes out. A lot of ideas get thrown around, but it's the filtering that leads to authentic & honest conversations. These include:

 

Additionally, the staff usually is helpful if you ask the right questions as they are the ones spending the most time with paying customers. Meeting the chef (or cook) helps too as you can determine what his/her passions are regarding foods & flavors. Combining all of this into a marketing plan is challenging, but it leads to good conversations and a customized game plan which likely isn't what everyone thought it would be when the initial meeting started.... and everyone had some good food too. Even for a sports bar!
